The USC site of the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center is one of 15 centers located throughout the states of California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawai’i. The USC site is the largest of all the PAETC sites and serves the Los Angeles region.

Our Mission
- To provide health care professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to care for HIV-infected patients.
- To increase the numbers of trained health care professionals working with HIV-infected patients in the community.
- To respond to the needs of emerging populations and the changing face of the epidemic.

Clinical Training Programs
The PAETC sponsors AIDS training programs throughout the four-state region. These programs are designed to keep busy providers up-to-date with the latest in AIDS treatment. Whether you have two HIV-positive patients or a practice dedicated to them, PAETC trainings can help. Trainings include:
- Lectures and didactic seminars
- Workshops, seminars and hands-on clinical experience
- Intensive clinical rotations, preceptorships and mini-residencies
- Collaborative programs with local organizations and providers

Information Dissemination
The complexities of HIV mean that questions about care often arise. PAETC can provide the answers you need. The PAETC Resource Center offers state of the art curricula, slides, videos and
landmark articles related to HIV clinical care. And our two telephone consultation services let you discuss specific cases with experienced providers.
Evaluation & Research
The Pacific AETC funds outcome evaluation projects to monitor the impact of clinical training on provider clinical competencies and health outcomes.
National Network
The Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center is part of a nationwide network of Education and Training Centers which collectively serve the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
