Directions to University Park
and Health Science campuses


University Park Campus
  • 110 (Harbor) North:
    Take the Exposition exit. Go straight through the 37th Street light. Keep left. Go under the freeway bridge. Cross Flower at the light and turn right at the Figueroa light. Turn left at the light on 35th Street. Enter campus at gate #3.

  • 110 (Harbor/Pasadena) South:
    Take the Exposition exit. Cross Flower at the light and turn right at the light onto Figueroa. Turn left at the light on 35th Street. Enter campus at gate #3.

  • 10 (Santa Monica) East:
    Take the Hoover exit, turn right at the light. Go all the way to where Hoover ends at Jefferson. Turn left on Jefferson, right on Figueroa. Turn right on 35th Street. Enter campus at gate #3.

  • 10 (Santa Monica) West:
    Take the Hoover exit, turn right at the light. Turn right on Hoover and go all the way to where Hoover ends at Jefferson. Turn left on Jefferson, right on Figueroa. Turn right on 35th Street. Enter campus at gate #3.

  • 405 (San Diego) South or North:
    Take the 405 to the 10 (Santa Monica Freeway). Go east (Los Angeles) on the 10. Take the Hoover exit, turn right at the light. Go all the way to where Hoover ends at Jefferson. Turn left on Jefferson, right on Figueroa. Turn right on 35th street. Enter campus at gate #3.

  • 101 (Hollywood/Ventura) South or North:
    Take the 110 going south. Take the Exposition exit. Cross Flower at the light and turn right at the light onto Figueroa. Turn left at the light on 35th Street. Enter campus at gate #3.

  • 5 (Golden State/Santa Ana) South or North:
    Take the 5 to the 110. Go south on the 110. Take the Exposition exit. Cross Flower at the light and turn right at the light onto Figueroa. Turn left at the light on 35th Street. Enter campus at gate #3.

Parking at USC:

  • On campus:
    Parking on campus is $6. A small amount of one-hour metered parking is also available. Departments and hosting individuals may make parking arrangements for their guests or planned campus events through the Transportation Services Office. On campus parking rates and availability may vary for special events.

  • Off campus:
    Four-hour and two-hour metered parking is available on Figueroa and Jefferson. $3 a day lots are available Mon-Fri across the street from the campus on Figueroa (next to the Sizzler restaurant), and on Jefferson (next to the Shrine Auditorium). Parking rates for these lots may vary for special events.

Public Transportation to USC:

  • DASH Route C (line starts at 7th Street Metro Center station):
    Runs every 15-30 minutes from 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Mon-Sat. Drops and picks up on Figueroa Street. Cost: 25 cents. For more information about DASH routes, call 1-800-COMMUTE.

  • Metro Bus and Metro Rail:
    Bus service is provided from Union Station to the University Park Campus on bus lines 444, 445 and 446. Bus line 71 provides transportation between Union Station and the Health Sciences Campus. For information about these and other routes and schedules, call 1-800-COMMUTE. Single zone fare: $1.10.

Tram Services:

  • USC Health Science Campus (HSC): Operates Mon-Fri, holidays excluded. Tram stops are 34th St. at Trousdale Parkway (UPC) and Norris Cancer Research Center (HSC). Tram departs UPC hourly 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and from 3 - 5 p.m. It departs HSC hourly 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. and from 2:30 - 5:45 p.m.

  • Union Station: The shuttle picks up passengers outside of the main lobby, adjacent to the taxi and tram pick-up area at Union Station, and in front of the JEP House located on 34th Street at Trousdale on the University Park Campus. Operates Mon-Fri, morning trams run from Union Station to UPC, afternoon trams run from UPC to Union Station.

Health Sciences Campus
  • From 10 Eastbound
    Exit at Soto and turn left. Left on Alcazar. Left on San Pablo.

  • From 10 Westbound
    Exit at Soto and turn right. Left on Alcazar. Left on San Pablo.

  • From 5 Southbound
    Exit at Mission and turn left. Right on Zonal. Left on Biggy (for central campus and USC/Norris) or left on San Pablo (for Eamer Medical Plaza).

  • From 5 Northbound
    Transition to 10 Eastbound. Exit at Soto and turn left. Left on Alcazar. Left on San Pablo.

  • From 101 Southbound
    Transition to 10 Eastbound. Exit at State/Soto. Proceed across State onto onramp, and bear right to exit at Soto. Turn left. Left on Alcazar. Left on San Pablo.

  • From 710 North or Southbound
    Transition to 10 Westbound. Exit at Soto and turn right. Left on Alcazar. Left on San Pablo.

  • From Huntington Drive (Pasadena, West San Gabriel Valley)
    Follow Huntington westbound until it divides into Mission Rd. and Soto St. Bear left onto Soto and proceed to Alcazar. Turn right. Left on San Pablo.

Tram service

  • USC University Park Campus (UPC)
    Operates M-F, holidays excluded. Tram stops are 34th St. at Trousdale Parkway (UPC) and USC/Norris (HSC). Tram departs UPC hourly 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3-5 p.m. It departs HSC hourly 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30-5:45 p.m.

  • Childrens Hospital Los Angeles
    Operates M-F, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tram departs from the front entrance of CHLA hourly beginning at 7:30 a.m. Last tram leaves CHLA (corner of Sunset and Gower) at 4:30 p.m. Tram departs HSC at the Biggy Structure Loading Dock hourly beginning at 8 a.m. Last tram leaves HSC at 5 p.m.

  • Union Station
    Operates M-F, holidays excluded. Tram departs Union Station approximately every half hour beginning at 6 a.m. Last tram leaves for HSC at 8:45 a.m. Afternoon tram departs HSC at USC/Norris beginning at 4:10 p.m., with the last pick-up at 5:45 p.m.
