Dental Steering Committee

The dental program of the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center is directed by a Dental Steering Committee, which is composed of leaders throughout the dental community in the four state area served by the Pacific AETC: California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada.

The Dental Steering Committee has had an historic role in the development and provision of dental clinical training and assistance to the dental community through clinical training, lectures, seminars, and consultations to dental societies, other dental professional associations, and private practitioners. In addition to developing educational programs, the Dental Steering Committee speaks out on HIV-related policy issues pertaining to Dentistry, both regionwide and on the national level.

The Dental Steering Committee meets twice a year, once at USC School of Dentistry and once at the PAETC annual Faculty Development Workshop at Asilomar.
